We would like to challenge you to download our Software and compare this to the Primum CCS Software. You will notice that it is nearly identical in how the program will function, the orders that you can use, and how you interact with the program. The Primum CCS Software only offers 6 practice cases. This is insufficent amount of cases needed to practice to well on the USMLE Step 3 CCS cases.
Depending on your strengths and weaknesses, we recommend that you do at least 50-100 practice CCS cases prior to taking the real exam. If you are strapped for time, you can focus your time on cases in which you are not strong in such as Pediatric cases or OBGYN cases. However, we do think that it is important to hone in and do excellent and get all the points available in the cases that you are strong at. Our software will help you do that so that you can score high on test day.

As we have said in our other posts, the key to success is preparation, and the most effective preparation for the CCS portion of the test is to practice, practice, practice with real tests with an interactive simulator, not reading books! Reading books will just not do, so it’s important to use the Primum CCS Software and to use our CCS Cases software to help you prepare for test day.
